Each Leapfrog Adventures Inc. trip is designed with specific objectives in mind. Activities and venues chosen are not suitable for all of our participants. For example Fraser Island is not really suitable for people with mobility problems (it is all sand). People with challenging behaviour can find long trips in the troop carriers frustrating. People with higher needs require special attention and sometimes one on one staffing ratio. Because of this we cannot supply staff within our budget and therefore have to offer specific trips for these people, or the trips will become more expensive for others with lesser needs as the cost of extra staff will be passed on to them.

We at leapfrog always look to make the trip as enjoyable as possible for the group as a whole, this means keeping group dynamics in mind at all times. When choosing a trip please keep these facts in mind. We will be offering specific trips for people with high needs and greater behaviors so we suggest you take advantage of these.

These three camps are for all of our participants - adults and children.
We are out to teach you to cross-country ski. Our aim is that by the end of the snow season you will be competent in skiing and ready to do some longer trips to, perhaps, one of the huts in the high country to really have a bush snow experience.

On these camps we will be staying in the comfort of the TOPS, either skiing there or going to Cabramurra or Mount Selwyn. Cost of the trips are below our actual costs but they are an increase on last years costs as we no longer have grant money to support the.

Kids are especially welcome on these trips whether they are from schools in the ACT or from anywhere else. We are offering the trips to our adult leaders who have left school but want to continue with the Leapfrog Experience.

You do not have to have a disability to come on these trips, just a desire to learn to ski and have great time.

The cost of these trips includes accommodation, all food at the snow, transport, park entry, ski hire, fuel, and tuition.

The weather will be getting warmer so swimming, fishing & crabbing will be on the agenda. Learn to Surf and be Safe in the Water

Tentative dates: November 21 to 23 & December 5 to 7
Cost: For Each trip - kids who attend school in the ACT $220.00, Kids attending school outside of the ACT $330, adults $360.00.

Target Participants: Anyone who would like to learn to surf
Trip #263 & #264

Here is a chance for you to learn to surf and to learn water skills safely!
The last surfing trips that we did to the South Coast were a great success so we thought that we had to do it all over again.

We have room for 8 people aboard the troop carrier so get in quickly.

We will camp at Island View Caravan Park so we can be close to the beach and concentrate on the surfing. Mick Anderson (from the Narooma surf life saving club) and the “Surf Sisters” will be our instructors. You will be taught by this thoroughly professional team, firstly safety on the beach, and within no time bobbing around in the waves.

You will learn how to read waves, identify rips, what to do in case of an emergency, how to ride a surf board and how to catch a wave. At the end of the camp you may not be the best surfer in the world, but you will be a lot safer in the water.

On our previous surfing trip in December most people got to the stage of being able to stand up, and everybody had a great time. I must admit that some of the people who learnt to stand up also learnt to how to dive into the water head first very quickly!

Activities can include chasing dolphins, swimming, fishing, pipi catching, a night out at the club and general coastal relaxing it will be your choice. If we need a break from all the excitement at Jervis Bay we can take a trip out to Kiama and its legendary Blow Hole or the fun park at Jamberoo or a day trip to Minnamurra Falls. We often offer these trips and but as often people choose to stay at Jervis Bay and just relax.

This is a trip that most people want to return to- and they do! Become one of those people!
